Note-taking is often attributed to neat handwriting in a highly organized journal. But prolific writers don't have a corner on the market when it comes to taking notes.

Distilled to its most basic form, a note is a reference point that helps us remember something important. In this way, we create notes by taking a picture of our favorite meal. We take notes by finishing our book of poems. We fill the pages of our journal by adding one more song to our playlists.

Taking notes isn’t reserved for nice journals or neat handwriting. With enough intentionality and a curious mind, we can all be prolific note-takers.
